In today’s lesson, we worked on understanding Slessor’s context and the literary movement at the time. We also worked on analysing and improving Peri’s past short answer responses by implementing the Seldon technique and looking at exemplar responses. Peri was able to implement the Seldon method much more effectively and was able to recognise strategies to elevate her response. Next lesson, we will look at some of Slessor’s poems and do more work on short answer questions.
