Today we worked on comprehension skills: summarising, finding facts and making predictions. Daniella handled the fact-finding questions well and is getting better at using the question words (who, what, where, when) to locate answers. In summarising, she is learning to pick out the main points rather than copying every detail. For predictions, we practised using clues from the text to explain what might happen next. We also spent some time on her persuasive letter, which still needs its remaining paragraphs finished.
